Extraction

The remaining 14-18% oil in the custody is processed by using solvent.

1. Extraction of oil by using solvent (hexane) 

2. Distillation of miscella and removal of hexane from oil

3. Heating meal with indirect steam and then adopting sparge steam to remove all solvent from meal up to 300 ppm level

4. In both processes  evaporated hexane is condensed  in condensers by chilled water .
