If soybean is processed through flakers

  • It can be adopted to direct extraction.
  • After the flaker it is sent to the expander, pelletized, then sent to extraction.
  • After the flaker, soybean and other oil seeds are heated to 100-110 C in cascade type cooking pans and pressed in constantly in screw type presses to separate the oil and cake.

The cake has 14-18% oil residue. This cake is sent to the extraction with hexane and the residual oil content is reduces to 1-2%.

The oil produced is first roughly strained from its impurities . The impurities returns again to the cooking pan. The oil is filtered and stored at 0.1% sediment on HPLF, VPLF and bag type filters.
